Aydın Toscalı (born August 14, 1980 in Aydın ) is a Turkish football player who last played for MKE Ankaragücü .

Career

Club career

Toscalı began his football career at Yeni Nazillispor . Here he made in the 1997/98 season as an amateur player four games in what was then the third highest division. For the 1999/00 season he then moved to Aydınspor and played here for two seasons.

In 2001 he signed his first professional contract with Muğlaspor and immediately asserted himself as a regular player. A year later he moved to Tarsus İdman Yurdu . Here, too, he made the leap into the starting line-up and played for three seasons.

In 2005/06 he moved to the Süper Lig club Kayserispor . Here he came to regular assignments in the first two seasons. In the third season he won a regular place and won the Turkish Football Cup with his team at the end of the season .

At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he was informed by the new coach Schota Arweladze that he was not planning with Toscalı.

So he moved within the league to MKE Ankaragücü . In the first weeks of the 2011/12 season, his club ran into financial difficulties and could not pay the players' salaries for a long time. So many players left Ankaragücü. Toscalı remained loyal to the club and led his team as team captain through the relegation battle.

After his contract with Ankaragücü expired in the summer of 2012, he left this club and moved to the first division club Mersin İdman Yurdu on a free transfer .

At the beginning of September 2013 he returned to his old club MKE Ankaragücü and played here for a season.

National team career

Toscalı was nominated for the Turkish national team for the first time in 2007 by national coach Fatih Terim and then made his first and so far only international match.
