The Azimuth Hill (English for Azimuth Hill ) is an 85 m high rock spur on the Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land in West Antarctica . It extends to the Prinz Gustav Canal immediately south of the mouth of the Russell East Glacier .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey named it following a survey in 1946. It was named after the solar azimuth , which was determined by means of a pile of stones built at the east end of the formation.
