Bärbel Spanuth

Barbara "Bärbel" Spanuth (born March 4, 1941 in Berlin ) is a former German actress and dancer .

Barbara Spanuth came to Berlin in 1941 as the daughter of the sports teacher and pastor Volker Spanuth and his wife Edith, nee. Kamphausen to the world. She attended high school and completed ballet training, learned tap dance and acrobatics . In 1951, at the age of 10, she received her first film role in the operetta Queen of One Night, directed by Kurt Hoffmann . She then appeared in several music shows produced for television. In 1959 she was seen as a maid in the musical comedy blow by blow . Spanuth was denied the big breakthrough. She ended her career as a dancer and actress in the late 1960s.
