It runs from the intersection between Hohenzollernstrasse and Heinrichstrasse to Lister Platz with Lister Meile and in this way connects the districts of Oststadt and List . It was created in 1873 and was named after the pastor and senior of the market church Hermann Wilhelm Bödeker . It is dominated by buildings of neoclassicism and art nouveau . The most distinctive building along the street is the Dreifaltigkeitskirche , completed in 1883 , which is located between the branches to Holscherstrasse and Friesenstrasse.
traffic
Bödekerstraße is one of the busiest streets in the eastern part of the city and part of a connection between the districts of List and Mitte as well as the city ring, which surrounds the city center as the main road ring. From 1906 to the 1970s, tram lines 2 and 3 of the Üstra ran on Bödekerstraße . In 1976 the tram route between Lister Platz, Bödekerstraße and Emmichplatz was dismantled due to the commissioning of the first light rail line . Since then, only the GVH public transport bus routes have been running along Bödekerstrasse.
