The Bohemian Forest Musicians are a German wind orchestra . Often the name is also Kurt Pascher and his original Bohemian Forest musicians .

history

In 1981 Kurt Pascher founded the Bohemian Forest Musicians with music colleagues who were friends. At that time he used notes from his grandfather, who came from the Bohemian Forest , as a basis . In 1983 the Bavarian Radio became aware of the orchestra and invited the musicians to archive recordings. This collaboration resulted in numerous studio recordings and broadcast dates. Today, many of the titles in the repertoire come from Pascher's own pen.

Awards

The orchestra was awarded the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft's Volkstumpreis and the Hanns Seidel Foundation's Folk Music Prize.
