Michael Kuhn (musician)
Michael Kuhn (born January 22, 1962 in Wangen im Allgäu ) is a German detective , musician , composer and arranger .
Life
Michael Kuhn received his training in piano and trumpet at the humanistic gymnasium Salvatorkolleg Bad Wurzach . There he came into contact with folk brass music at an early stage through his teacher Peter Schad , head of the Upper Swabian village musicians . This was followed by some advanced training courses from the Baden-Württemberg Wind Music Association and participation in various selected orchestras. In 1980 he went to the police and worked in several police music corps. A few years after the orchestra was founded, he joined Peter Schad and his Upper Swabian village musicians as a flugelhorn player . In addition to his main job as a detective at the Ravensburg Police Department , Michael Kuhn is often active as a flugelhorn player and trumpeter in numerous professional wind bands. As a composer, he mainly writes polkas in the Bohemian style.
