The Bückemühle , also Bückemühle I , is a listed mill yard in the town of Gernrode, part of the town of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt . Today it is operated as a restaurant.

It is located at the address Am Bückeberg 3 north of Gernrode am Kaltentalbach , at the foot of the Bückeberg . The Bückenmühlenteich belonging to the mill has been preserved.
Architecture and history
The watermill is mentioned as early as 1643 and was operated as an oil mill . The first owner is a Mr. Heinrich who sold the mill to Michael Wulff for 268 thalers.
The current building dates back to the year 1700. The mill building was built in half-timbered construction and has a profiled threshold . The compartments are provided with decorative lining. There are three house signs with insignia from mill builders on the complex . In addition to the year 1700, there are also the names Siegfried Riegler and Ernst Wolf . The Bückenmühlenteich was also created in this context. The mill had the right to tap and fish . The small restaurant Müller's room was operated in the mill .
In the years 1847 and 1852 the mill was temporarily shut down after a long period of drought.
The water mill was in operation until around 1930 and served as a grist and flour mill. In 1905 a Mr. sweet bacon was miller of the mill. The last miller was Wilhelm Walkhoff . The mill was then sold to Walter Sander in 1938 . There was a renovation in which the restaurant was enlarged. The mill room was converted into a guest room and a guesthouse was set up. The old water wheel was still recognizable until 1960 . Walter Sander remained the owner of the mill until 1970, and catering was operated by the HO district company as early as 1960. Sander sold the plant to the Wiesner family in 1970, later the Drews family. In November 1997 Rüdiger Karger acquired the property.
There are plans to operate a mill wheel again. The designation Bückemühle I refers to the no longer existing Bückemühle II , also known as the Great Mill .
The Mühlenhof is listed in the local monument register under registration number 094 45149 as a monument .
