Bülent Rauf (* 1911 in Istanbul ; † 1987 in Chisholme House, Roberton, near Hawick , Scotland) was a Turkish mystic , spiritual advisor, translator and author. He was married to Princess Faiza , sister of the Egyptian King Faruq I , from 1945 until the early 1960s .

Bülent Rauf dedicated many years of his life to the theoretical and practical imparting of knowledge about the absolute unity of being ( tauhid ). As a representative of Sufism ( Islamic mysticism ) and a proven expert on the life and work of the great Andalusian scholar Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi (1165-1240), he was, among other things, a long-time companion and advisor to the British mystic and author Reshad Feild , who published it in his 1978 edition autobiographical novel The last barrier portrayed in the figure of "Hamid". In 1975 Bülent Rauf, u. a. with the support of Reshad Feild, the Beshara School for Intensive Esoteric Education in Scotland , where hundreds of students have since been taught the basics of an informal, non-religious spirituality.

From 1977 Bülent Rauf was honorary president for life of the Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi Society he co-founded , which is committed to the academic research and dissemination of the works of this influential Sufi. Bülent Rauf's main literary work is the complete English translation of the four-volume edition of Ibn Arabis Fusus al-Hikam, ascribed to Ismail Hakki Bursevi , with extensive commentary in Ottoman-Turkish .
