Alliance of international production houses

The alliance of international production houses is an amalgamation of the seven largest production and presentation locations for the free-to-play contemporary performing arts in Germany and was founded in 2015 as an association . The alliance includes the FFT Forum Free Theater ( Düsseldorf ), the HAU Hebbel am Ufer ( Berlin ), HELLERAU European Center for the Arts ( Dresden ), Kampnagel ( Hamburg ), the Künstlerhaus Mousonturm ( Frankfurt / Main ), PACT Zollverein ( Essen ) and the tanzhaus nrw (Düsseldorf).

The goals of the alliance are the promotion of mutual artistic exchange, the professionalization of the liberal arts sector and a sustainable increase in the quality of national and international co-production and touring.

The Alliance is at the decision of the German Bundestag in the years 2016-2018 with 4 million euros annually by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media promoted. In November 2018, the budget committee of the German Bundestag decided to continue funding the alliance with an annual amount of 4 million euros until 2021.
