Citizen Medal of the City of Frankfurt am Main

The Citizens Medal of the City of Frankfurt am Main is an honorary prize awarded annually on the basis of a resolution by the Frankfurt City Council in 2001, which is awarded to up to five citizens. The citizen's medal is given to people as public appreciation and appreciation who have either been involved in voluntary work in Frankfurt associations and institutions for many years or who have made an outstanding contribution to the common good .

The citizen's medal is made of a metal alloy and has a diameter of 11.5 cm. On the front it bears the inscription Citizen Medal of the City of Frankfurt am Main and the name of the recipient, the back is decorated with the Frankfurt city coat of arms, the eagle. The citizen medal is awarded with a corresponding certificate and a miniature by the head of the city council in the Limpurgsaal of the Römer town hall in Frankfurt am Main .
