The Bürgerpark Marzahn (initially called residential park ) is a park in the Berlin district of Berlin-Marzahn . The Marzahn-Hellersdorf district office had the recreation facility designed by 1992.
history
The first eight hectare park was opened to the public in 1992. A year later, one of the opened after three years of construction in the park Berlin-baths companies operated outdoor swimming pool, splash -called paddling Marzahn. A playground with various play options as well as a skateboard facility and a toboggan run was also built for the children and young people . A nearby eleven-story residential building on Ludwig-Renn-Strasse stood empty for a few years and was then torn down. The 9500 square meter area that became free was used to expand the park in 2009 along Ludwig-Renn-Strasse. The residents of the quarter took part in the planning process as part of a pilot project of the Action Spaces plus initiative . The construction costs amounted to 139,600 euros.
