Citizens Hospital (Sélestat)
The Civic Hospital (fr. Hôpital bourgeois de Sélestat ) in Schlettstadt , a French city in the Bas-Rhin in the region Alsace , was built in the 1760s. The former hospital at No. 1 place du Vieux-Port has been classified as a monument historique since 1995 .
history
The three-storey building was built according to plans by the architect Jean-Baptiste Alexandre Chassain from Colmar . The hospital has a chapel which was consecrated in 1768.
In the middle of the 19th century the hospital was temporarily used as a prison. It was then converted into a residential building.
