The S2 office tower is a high-rise in Ljubljana , Slovenia . It was built from 1972 to 1978 according to plans by the Yugoslav architect Milan Mihelič . It was originally planned as an ensemble with a second tower called S1, but S1 was never realized. The tower consists of a core made of reinforced concrete combined with floors made of vertical steel elements.
The building is an important testimony to Yugoslav architecture. From 2018 to 2019, models and drawings of the building were shown by the Museum of Modern Art as part of the exhibition Toward a Concrete Utopia : Architecture in Yugoslavia 1948–1980 .
