The Bōhyō Heights ( Japanese 望 氷 台 Bōhyō-dai ) are a small rocky hill on the Crown Prince Olav coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises 3 km east-southeast of Cape Hinode .
The formation was mapped using surveys and aerial photographs of the Japanese Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1957 to 1962. Its name, which was translated from Japanese into English by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1975, means literally translated as ice heights .
