Cape Hinode is a non-iced, rocky and 8.2 km² large cape on the Crown Prince Olav coast of the Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is about 5 km west of the Akebono Glacier and 3 km west-northwest of the Bōhyō Heights .
It was mapped and photographed by participants in the Japanese Antarctic Expedition, which lasted from 1957 to 1962, who descriptively named it Hinode-misaki ( Japanese 日 の 出 岬 , Cape of the Sunrise ' ).
