The Akebono Glacier ( Japanese あ け ぼ の 氷河 Akebono-hyōga , German 'Glacier of the Dawn' ) is a glacier on the Crown Prince Olav coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It flows into the cooperation lake between Cape Hinode and Akebono Point
He was mapped and photographed by participants in the Japanese Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1957 to 1962, and who also named him.
