The club was founded in 1974 by the three- cushion players Lennart Blomdahl and Frans Frank. The first venue was the billiards room, which both had opened shortly before on Carl-Krook-Straße in Helsingborg . This was also the first training facility for the multiple world champion Torbjörn Blomdahl , son of the founder.

With the cast of Lennart Blomdahl, Frans Frank, Torbjörn Blomdahl and Björn Lohmander, Borgen was able to win the crown of the European three-band club, the Coupe d'Europe , twice in a row in front of a home audience in 1984 and 1985 . This can be compared with the Champions League in football, where the best billiards clubs in Europe choose their best. Borgen was able to repeat this in 1989 and 1990, Frank was replaced by Nalle Olssen . 1990 again in front of a home audience. In 2012 the club earned its 30th Swedish championship medal.

The club is also the venue for national tournaments. In February 2016, Torbjörn Blomdahl, who lives in Backnang , Germany, was the Swedish three-cushion champion there for the 26th time.
