BADR-3 (formerly Arabsat 3A ) at 26 ° East is a television satellite of the Arab Satellite Communications Organization (ARABSAT) based in Riyadh . It belongs to the third generation of the ARABSAT satellite fleet, took off on February 26, 1999 and was put into operation at the orbital position 26 ° East.

In December 2001 eight transponders had to be switched off after a defect in the power supply meant that there was no longer enough power available.
