history
The Arnsberg government's trade inspection files show, through the annual records of commercial support funds for the year 1855, that a special support association for the Buschhütten plant should be set up in addition to the Buschhütten health and relief organization, which has existed since May 1, 1882. This association, founded on August 1, 1856, is named in the records from 1861 as a support association for the iron foundry in Buschhütten. For the period from 1884 to 1911, this association was given the name Health Insurance for the workers of the Engelh iron foundry. Achenbach seel. Sons. With the renaming of the former sponsoring company to Achenbach Buschhütten GmbH in 1969, the company health insurance fund of Achenbach Buschhütten GmbH was also renamed.
With the opening of the BKK for the administrative districts of Arnsberg, Münster and Detmold (Westphalia-Lippe region) on September 1, 1998, a new era began, as well as the separation of personnel from the sponsoring company. Later, the opening of the fund was extended to all those with statutory health insurance who lived and / or worked in North Rhine-Westphalia.
