The BKK futur was a German company health insurance , which was opened nationwide and had offices in several states.

The company health insurance fund futur was based in Krefeld and was created on June 1, 1996 from the merger of numerous funds based in the Rhine-Ruhr area: BKK BABCOCK BSH, Krefeld, BKK Balcke-Dürr, Ratingen, BKK Bogestra , Bochum, BKK Döllken, Essen, BKK EVS, Duisburg, BKK Gerresheimer Glas AG, BKK Gesellschaft für Elektrometallurgie, Eschweiler, BKK hde Metallwerke, Menden, BKK kabelmetall electro, Hanover, BKK KABELRHEYDT, Mönchengladbach, BKK Peill + Putzler, Düren, BKK Standard-Metallwerke, Werl, BKK Stadt Herne, Herne, BKK HASchoeller, Düren, BKK UNION, Krefeld, BKK Verseidag, Krefeld, BKK WIRTH, Erkelenz.

On January 1, 2007, SEL BKK (based in Stuttgart) was added as the largest partner with around 60,000 insured persons.

On January 1, 2012, the BKK futur merged with the BKK Verkehrsbau Union (BKK VBU). According to its own statements, the BKK VBU looks after around 460,000 insured persons at 40 locations nationwide after the merger.
