Basketbalový klub Nový Jičín is a Czech basketball club from Nový Jičín . The club had its most successful period under the sponsor names Mlékárna Kunín and Geofin .

history

The association was founded in 1990. From 1992 the club played in the highest Czech basketball league. In 1995 the club won the Czech basketball cup, and this success was repeated the following year.

Between 1997 and 2007, the club went under the name Mlékárna Kunín and won the first and so far only championship of Nový Jičín in 1999, as well as three other cup victories.

After 859 games in a total of 19 seasons, the club voluntarily relegated to the second division in 2010 due to serious financial problems.
