The BSG Aufbau Jüterbog was a company sports association in the former district town of Jüterbog in the GDR district of Potsdam . It existed from 1951 to 1966 and was known both in 1955 and 1964 for its participation in the GDR-wide FDGB soccer cup competition .

When all sports clubs were banned in East Germany at the instigation of the Soviet occupying forces after the Second World War, several loosely organized sports communities were established in the town of Jüterbog, which has 13,000 inhabitants. Among others, the SG Jüterbog West was formed in 1946. After East German sport was reorganized in company sports associations (BSG) from 1948, the local industrial companies took over SG West in 1949 and converted it into BSG Industrie Jüterbog. In 1951, the municipal housing company became a carrier company , and the BSG took on the name KWU Jüterbog, which was shortly afterwards changed again to Aufbau Jüterbog.

As early as 1946, SG West participated in the Brandenburg / Havel group in the Brandenburg state football championship. The company sports associations Industry and KWU played in the Brandenburg district class from 1949 to 1952. After the reorganization of the leagues in GDR football in 1952, the BSG Aufbau was placed in the fourth-class Potsdam district class. There she immediately achieved promotion to the Potsdam District League , but rose again after two seasons in 1955. 1958 succeeded the renewed promotion and then played the BSG Aufbau until 1966 again in the district league. In 1963 Jüterbog won the district championship in two finals against Aufbau Zehdenick (2-0 and 0-1) and then took part in the promotion games to the GDR league . However, after three games without a win, promotion was missed.

As early as 1954, Aufbau Jüterbog had qualified for the GDR-wide competition for the FDGB soccer cup. In the first round, the team met the Schwerin district division club Lok Wittenberge and lost 2: 8. The Jüterboger made a second attempt in the FDGB Cup in 1964. In round one they played at home against the second division TSC Berlin , which they defeated 3-2 after extra time. In the next round, Jüterbog had to compete at the second division club SC Cottbus and lost 2-0 there.

During the 1965/66 football season, the housing company stopped supporting BSG Aufbau, which was then dissolved. The soccer section was taken over by the BSG Lokomotive Jüterbog.
