The BSG Motor Nord Brandenburg was a company sports association in Brandenburg an der Havel .

history

The BSG was operated by the Thälmann shipyard on the Havel . In the 1940s, after the end of the Second World War , the Volkswerft Ernst Thälmann company sports association was founded. In 1950 the name changed to BSG Anker Brandenburg and a year later to BSG Motor Nord Brandenburg. In 1954 the footballers of the company sports association qualified for the FDGB Cup . In the 1954/55 cup season , however, they were eliminated in the first round against the Berlin district division unity Pankow after a 2-0 draw. In 1959 the rugby section was founded. In the 1961/62 season the Thälmann shipyard was closed and the BSG Motor Nord dissolved. The rugby section switched to the BSG Stahl Brandenburg , the footballers and judokas came to the BSG Lokomotive Brandenburg.
