The BVZ Holding AG , based in Zermatt is a Swiss transport service company with primary focus on tourism and public transport . The company emerged in 1999 from the Brig – Visp – Zermatt railway company and is now a group of companies specializing in the Swiss Alpine region . The BVZ Group offers an integrated touristic service chain between Zermatt / Gornergrat and Disentis through its subsidiaries . In addition, it controls the feeder traffic to this region via the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway .
The BVZ Group primarily includes the wholly owned subsidiaries Gornergrat Bahn AG and BVZ Asset Management AG, the 75 percent subsidiary Matterhorn Gotthard Verkehrs AG and the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn public limited company .
