Stephanie Boehm

Stephanie Böhm (born May 31, 1958 in Mannheim ) is a German classical archaeologist .

Stephanie Böhm studied classical archeology, prehistory and early history in Heidelberg and Bonn . 1986 she became with the work The "Naked Goddess". PhD on iconography and interpretation of undressed female figures in early Greek art with Jörg Schäfer in Heidelberg. For the year 1986/87 she received the travel grant of the German Archaeological Institute because of this work . From 1988 to 1995 she worked in Bonn as a research assistant or senior assistant. In 1994, she completed her habilitation in Bonn with the work The coins of the Roman Republic and their image sources . Since 1995 she has been a full professor for Classical Archeology at the University of Würzburg .

Böhm has been a corresponding member of the German Archaeological Institute since 1995 . Her main research interests are the Greek and Roman art and cultural history, early Greek culture and its relationship to the Orient, and the eclectic monuments of the Roman Republic and Imperial Era.
