Babsi Koitz

Barbara Koitz (born May 8, 1980 in Voitsberg ) is an Austrian dancer.

Career

With Willi Gabalier she achieved sixth place in the Austrian championships in Latin dance in the S starting class and second place in the championship over ten dances. In 2009 they switched to the professionals and became Austrian professional masters over 10 dances. In 2009 she completed an apprenticeship as a state-certified dance trainer and judge. Between 2009 and 2013 she took part as a professional dancer in the dance show Dancing Stars and reached the finals with her current partner, Marco Ventre.

Life

Koitz grew up in the western Styrian Krottendorf near Ligist with a brother and two sisters and has been dancing since childhood. After successfully completing secondary school, she attended the Federal Institute for Kindergarten Pedagogy and, in addition to her dance sport career, began studying pedagogy at the KF Uni Graz. She has been running her dance studio Babsi Koitz on Lake Faak since 2012 and currently lives with her partner Marco Ventre on Lake Faak in Carinthia. In December 2016, the two parents had a son.
