Marco Ventre (born April 21, 1975 in Zurich , Switzerland ) is an Austrian television presenter and pop singer .

Since 2016 he has moderated, together with Eva Pölzl , the Carinthian Weeks of ORF - breakfast television Guten Morgen Österreich . He has been working for the regional radio station Radio Kärnten since 2005 . From 2007 to 2013 he also moderated the regional television program Carinthia today on ORF 2 .

biography

Ventre's father Antonio comes from Marsico Nuovo , a town near Naples in the province of Potenza ( Basilicata ). His mother Veronika was born in Austria. In 1994 he started his career with Italian radio. Later he worked for several private radio stations in Austria until he finally switched to ORF Carinthia. He also moderates the warm-up from Musikantenstadel and Starnacht am Wörthersee for ORF, as well as the warm-up for the program When the Music is playing . Marco Ventre was a singer for several years. In 2010 he celebrated his comeback as a musician. He plays the accordion and keyboard as well as drums. He has been the father of a son since 2000. Ventre has been living with his partner and dance partner at Dancing Stars 2012 Babsi Koitz on the Faakersee in Carinthia for several years. Since December 2016 they have been the parents of another son together.

Career

In 2010 Ventre and his band won the Austrian Grand Prix as a “newcomer”. At the international final against representatives from Germany , Switzerland and South Tyrol ( Italy ), he took fourth place with his band and was again best Austrian. The first album “Sehnsucht was yesterday” immediately went gold in Austria. Marco Ventre was also one of twelve "celebrity dancers" in the seventh season of the ORF program Dancing Stars and took third place with his dance partner, the multiple national champion in 10 dances, Babsi Koitz . In 2012 Marco Ventre and his band were nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the Schlager category. Marco Ventre and his band have now published three extremely successful albums and have been awarded the gold record for over 10,000 records sold. In 2018 and 2019 he released two more singles with the titles "And even if ..." and "Do you know how it is?", Which were successful across Austria. The first single even made it to number 1 in the Austrian Airplay Charts.

Since 2016, Ventre has been moderating the Carinthian Weeks of ORF early television Guten Morgen Österreich alongside Eva Pölzl .
