The Grandhotel Hessischer Hof - Hotel Frankfurt is the only privately run luxury hotel in Frankfurt am Main and owned by the Family Foundation of the Landgraves and Princes of Hesse . The hotel has been officially named Superior since 2005, making it only the second hotel in Hesse with the highest classification awarded by the German Hotel Association.

The "Grand Hotel Hessischer Hof - Hotel Frankfurt" was in 1952 by the Frankfurt architect Werner W. Neumann instead of 1944 in the Second World War in a bombing raid rebuilt the destroyed town house of the Landgrave of Hesse. The owner is the Hessische Hausstiftung , a foundation of the House of Hesse, from which the former Landgraves , Electors and Grand Dukes of Hesse came from. During the construction of the building, great importance was attached to the sophisticated design of the rooms and the hotel was built in the Art Deco style. The ceiling of the Sèvres restaurant is a copy of the antique hall of Schloss Fasanerie in Wiesbaden. Also in the restaurant you can get an insight into part of the landgrave's porcelain collection. The hotel has an antiques and art collection from Hessian castles.

The hotel comprises a total of 121 rooms and suites . In 2010, 28 rooms were converted into executive rooms with special features and a larger area. Ten event rooms of different sizes are available. In the restaurant Sèvres is porcelain from the collection of the House of Hesse issued. The Sèvres porcelain comes from one of the most important European manufacturers, decorated by the most respected porcelain painter Jean-Pierre Feuillet of the time. Also part of the grand hotel is the Jimmy's cocktail bar , which is an evening meeting place for authors and publishers every year during the Frankfurt Book Fair .

The hotel meets the five-star superior standard according to the hotel classification of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA) and is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World .
