Porta Inclyta in the city model of Roman Trier ( Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier )

The Porta Inclyta was a city gate built in the 2nd century AD in the city wall of Roman Trier . The gate stood at the Roman bridge and, like the Porta Media, is only proven by remains of the foundation, because the superstructure fell victim to the medieval stone robbery. The entrance to the city, which you could see when you crossed the Roman bridge into the city, was particularly splendid.
