Babsie Steger (born: Reinhild Steger ; * 1968 in Waidhofen an der Ybbs , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian - French actress .

Life

Babsie Steger lived in Austria until she was 18, where she studied ballet at the Vienna State Opera . Her teachers included Rudolf Chametowitsch Nurejew , Mikhail Baryshnikov and Maurice Béjart . In 1986 Steger moved to France, where she started working as a dancer and photo model. Her acting training at The Actors Studio was completed by Lee Strasberg in New York City .

Her career as an actress began Steger in France, where in 1988 in Palace of Jean-Michel Ribes was seen in a supporting role. Here she also gave herself her stage name Babsie . From 1995 to 1998 she took part in the French series La croisière Foll'amour in 35 minutes . In 2002 she appeared in a supporting role in the miniseries Les Misérables - Prisoners of Fate at the side of John Malkovich and Gérard Depardieu .

In 2013 she embodied in the television series Borgia Giovanna Farnese, the mother of the future Pope Paul III. and by Giulia Farnese .

In 1993 Steger tried it as a musician, but only released two songs.

In 2003 she opened an organic restaurant in Paris , which mainly served Austrian cuisine. However, in 2008 the restaurant had to close.

Steger has been a TV presenter for various French TV stations since 2008.

She is married to Takis Candilis , the head of the film production company Groupe Lagardère .
