The creek current Point is a headland at the Graham Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located on the northeast bank of Beascochea Bay or on the south side of the Kiev Peninsula at a distance of 13 km southeast of Cape Pérez . It separates the entrance to Field Cove in the west from that to Adie Cove in the east.
It was first mapped during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after the theologian, physician, technician and writer Johann Friedrich Bachstrom (1686–1742), who recognized scurvy as a deficiency disease in 1734 and the use of fresh fruits and vegetables for prevention and healing recommended.
