Cape Pérez ( French Cap des Trois Pérez , Spanish Punta Trois Pérez ) is a striking cape on the Graham coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the southwest of the Kiev Peninsula , it is located at the western end of the Cubillos Peninsula between the entrances to Collins Bay in the north and those to Beascochea Bay in the south.

It was discovered, but initially not named, by participants in the Belgica expedition (1897–1899) led by the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery . It was not until 1904 that the expedition reports mentioned it as Cap de Trooz . The previously started Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of Jean-Baptiste Charcot sighted the cape in November 1904 again. Charcot named the cape after the Argentine brothers Fernando, Leopoldo and Manuel Pérez, who helped his expedition in December 1903 and February 1905. Maurice Bongrain (1879–1951), Charcot's cartographer on the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910), adopted the Belgian name in his expedition report. However, this did not prevail. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names retained Charcot's name in a shortened form in 1969 and transferred the Belgian name to the Trooz Glacier, 8 km northeast of the cape .
