The Cubillos Peninsula ( English Península Cubillos in Argentina Península Oca Balda ) is a peninsula on the north side of Beascochea Bay on the Graham Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It runs out in a westerly direction in Cape Pérez .
Chilean scientists named her after Admiral Hernán Cubillos Leiva (1906 – unknown), head of the Chilean naval academy and participant in the 17th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1962–1963). The background of the Argentine naming is not known.
