Andrew Albicy (born March 21,  1990 in Sèvres ) is a French basketball player .

career

 Albicy, who came from a suburb of Paris , was trained at the Paris Basket Racing club , for whose men's team he received his first short appearances in the French premier league during the 2006/07 season.

In the 2011/12 season he was awarded the title of best defender in the French premier league as a member of the Gravelines-Dunkerque team .

He played in France until 2016 and then ventured abroad. From 2016 to 2019 he played for BC Andorra . The team from the small state takes part in the first Spanish league. He recorded the best points average of his time in Andorra in 2017/18 when he scored 8.5 points per encounter in 33 league appearances. Albicy's peak in preparing for basketball successes was reached in 2016/17 when he initiated 6.1 completions from teammates per game.

For the 2019/20 season he moved to the Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg . In 39 games for St. Petersburg (Russian league and Euroleague ) he scored 6.5 points per game, and he prepared an average of 3.6 basket hits for his side men per game. The separation was announced during the 2020 summer break. He continued his career in Spain ( CB Gran Canaria ).

National team

Albicy played international matches for his home country in the age groups U16, U18, U19 and U20. At the U19 World Cup in 2009, he was the second best scorer of the French selection with 14.4 points per match. In 2010 he was named the best player in the U20 European Championship after winning the European Championship with his team and scoring 12.3 points and 5.9 basket assists per tournament game. In 2011 Albicy won the silver medal with France's senior team at the European Championships and bronze at the 2019 World Cup.
