Badin District is an administrative district in Pakistan in Sindh Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Badin .

The district has an area of ​​6,726 km² and according to the 2017 census 1,487,903 inhabitants. The population density is 268 inhabitants / km². The Sindhi language is spoken by the majority in the district .

location

The district is located in the south of Sindh Province, which is located in southeastern Pakistan. Badin is located east of the mega city of Karachi .

history

Badin was the center of the ancient Indus Valley civilization . The Islam came n. Chr 711th in the region. The areas remained under the control of the Islamic caliphates until it was conquered by the Ghaznavids . In 1592 it came under the direct rule of the Mughal emperors .

Demographics
