The Badovac Lake ( Albanian Liqeni i Badovcit , Serbian Бадовачко језеро Badovačko Jezero ), also known as Gračanica Lake , is a reservoir in Kosovo near the capital Pristina .
The lake is located about five kilometers southeast of Pristina in a hilly area and mostly belongs to the municipality of Pristina , with the dam being located on the territory of Gračanica . The immediate surrounding villages are Hajvalia in the west and the Badoc dam in the southwest . Otherwise, the lake borders a village (marble) and otherwise entirely on wooded areas. The main road M-25.2 , which connects Pristina with Gjilan , runs along the southern shore of the lake .
Next to Lake Badovac is another road that leads to Bear Sanctuary Pristina. The road derives from the M-25.2 through Mramor and then to the lake
The lake was created through the damming of the Gračanica River in order to ensure the supply of the population in the area with water. Currently, 30% of the inhabitants of Pristina and Hajvalia , Gračanica , Kishnica and Veternik are supplied with drinking water from this lake.
Badovac lake is also of economic importance. It is used regularly by fishermen and visitors come to the lake in summer.
