Badrud ( Persian بادرود; also Bādrūd and Bād Rūd ; also known as Bād after its oldest district ) is a small town in Iran and the administrative seat of the district of Emamzadeh in the province of Isfahan .
history
Bād was described in 1969 as a large village with 4500 inhabitants who had to fetch their drinking water from 6 km away and irrigated their fields using qanats. In addition to agriculture, 1000 carpet looms were operated in the village at that time.
A separate Iranian dialect is traditionally spoken in the area, the Bādrūdi.
traffic
By connecting to the Qom – Zahedan railway , the southern east-west railway connection of Iran, to the road and electricity network, the place has undergone considerable development. By connecting the railway line (Tehran) –Badrud – Isfahan – Shiraz , Badrud station became a railway junction.
