Do (unity)
Die Tun , also Weys, was an English measure of volume and a commercial weight. The measure was suitable for grain , salt and liquids such as oil, wine , beer and brandy .
Bulk material
The dimensional chain was that two tuns gave a load or load
- 1 Tun = 5 Quarter = 10 Combs = 20 Strickes = 40 Bushels = 160 Pecks = 320 Gallons = 640 Pottles = 1280 Quarts = 2560 Pints
In the distinction between the Imperial Standard Quarter, Winchester Quarter and Scottish Quarter, the liter quantities were different.
- 1 tun = 73,271 Parisian cubic inches = 1453 liters (Imperial-Standard-Quarter)
- 1 tun = 71,030 Parisian cubic inches = 1408 liters (Winchester Quarter)
- 1 tun = 72,040 Parisian cubic inches = 1,427.5 liters (Scottish Quarter)

The dimensional chain was

- 1 tun = 49,458 Parisian cubic inches = 981 liters
Oil measure
There were two different systems of measurement here. Types of oil such as hemp , rapeseed , linseed and oil of oil were measured after adding wine and brandy (see above). For other oils, the tun was set at 236 gallons.
- 1 tun = 24,037 Paris cubic inches = 1072 liters
Commercial weight
The commercial weight was assuming 1 pound (Avoirdupois pound) = 453.59 grams
- 1 tun = 20 hundredweight = 80 quarters = 2240 pounds = 1015750 grams
In the lead trade , the term fudder was used instead of doing .
