Bae Chan-mi (born March 24, 1991 ) is a South Korean athlete who competes in both long and triple jump .

Athletic career

Bae Chan-mi gained her first international experience at the East Asian Games in Hong Kong in 2009 , where she finished fifth in the long jump with 5.70 m. In 2010, she took part in the Junior World Championships in Moncton , Canada , where she was eliminated with 12.45 m in the triple jump qualification. Four years later she took part for the first time in the Asian Games in Incheon , where she finished fifth with 6.34 m and was twelfth in the triple jump with 12.81 m. In 2015 she took part in the Asian Championships in Wuhan , where she finished sixth in the triple jump with 12.76 m and jumped tenth in the long jump. She then took part in the Summer Universiade in Gwangju , dropped out in the long jump in qualification and was twelfth in the triple jump with 12.65 m. In 2018 she again took part in the Asian Games in the Indonesian capital Jakarta , where she finished the triple jump with 12.68 m in seventh place.

In 2019 she was seventh at the Asian Championships in Doha with 13.07 m.

In 2012, 2013, 2015 as well as 2016 and 2018, Bae was South Korean champion in the triple jump and in 2012 also in the long jump.
