Bagassi is both a commune ( commune rurale in French ) and a department encompassing the same area in the West African state of Burkina Faso , in the Boucle du Mouhoun region and the province of Balé . In 2006 the community had 33,309 inhabitants in 29 villages, the majority of them Bwaba . The village was founded by Banliou Yé.
