Bahía Feliz is part of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana , in the bay of Playa de Tarajalillo, in the south of the Spanish island of Gran Canaria . In 2019 the population was 213.
The settlement is located directly on the sea, on a natural beach made of pebbles and dark volcanic sand and has a palm garden, several hotels and apartment complexes, a shopping center with supermarkets, boutiques, restaurants, cafes and pubs as well as various sports facilities.
The district is easy to reach by public transport. The airport of Gran Canaria is around 26 kilometers away. A promenade leads from Bahia Feliz along the sea to San Agustin .
In 1985 the Mistral Windsurf World Championship took place in Bahia Feliz. In 1987, film sequences of the romantic comedy " Zärtliche Chaoten II " with Thomas Gottschalk , Helmut Fischer , Michael Winslow and Deborah Shelton were shot in Bahia Feliz.
