His film partners from the first part, Helmut Fischer and Michael Winslow , can also be seen in further leading roles. However, it is not a continuation of the first part, but a separate film with new characters.

action

The film begins in a patent office in Munich in 2043 . Frank and Xaver are bored of their work and are constantly being asked by their supervisor, Dr. Kneitz bullies. One day an inventor appears who wants to register a patent for a machine that can be used to travel in time. Frank and Xaver decide to use this invention to jump into the past and prevent their boss from being conceived. When the machine was started, security guard Ronny was accidentally also in the room, and so the three of them went to the island of Gran Canaria in 1988 . Because of a mix-up, they mistakenly mistake the attractive Sandy for the mother of their future boss and henceforth try to prevent any contact between her and her numerous admirers. During the course of the stay, Ronny made contact with Cleo, who was also attractive, not knowing that she was actually the future mother of Dr. Kneitz is. Frank and Xaver only find out after returning to the year 2043, when their boss is still there, just as uncomfortable as before, but also loud, hectic and black - it was Ronny who got Cleo Kneitz pregnant in 1988. Then they travel back to 1988 and live their new life in the past.

Production notes

Tender Chaoten II was created under the impression of the American time travel adventure Back to the Future . Large parts of the film, including the chase with go-carts and jeeps, were shot in Gran Canaria. The German premiere was on June 30, 1988. Like its predecessor, Zärtliche Chaoten II was a success.

As in the first part of the film, several prominent actors could be won for minor supporting roles for Zärtliche Chaoten II , for example Jochen Busse , Jango Edwards and Janis Kyriakidis . The guest appearance of David Hasselhoff, who was extremely popular in Germany at the time, caused a lot of media coverage .

Reviews

“Anyone who gets a film like 'Zärtliche Chaoten II' knows what to expect. A comedy that sometimes seems a bit exaggerated, integrated into a rather thin storyline. Nevertheless, these films always manage to lure viewers into the cinemas or in front of the television, most of whom will be satisfied. Of course, top acting performances are not to be expected in these films, but that is not the aim either. "

- DVD digital

"Second edition of the successful comedy. The chaos Gottschalk, Winslow and Fischer get support for their new adventure from 'Dallas' star Deborah Shelton, Jochen Busse and Lisa Kreuzer. "

- Video Week

“Tired gossip trying again to capitalize on the popularity of a showmaster and broadcaster; boring and disappointing. "
