The Goßdorf-Kohlmühle station (until May 14, 1936: Kohlmühle station ) is a former Goßdorf and Kohlmühle station on the Bautzen – Bad Schandau line . From 1897 to 1951, the station, which has now been downgraded to a stop, was the starting point for the Goßdorf-Kohlmühle-Hohnstein narrow-gauge railway .

history

With the opening of the Neustadt – Bad Schandau section of the Bautzen – Bad Schandau line on August 1, 1877, a Kohlmühle stop was set up for the first time , initially only serving the passenger traffic of the paper mill located directly at the stop (today: Kohlmühle linoleum works ). Only with the opening of the narrow-gauge railway to Hohnstein on May 1, 1897, Kohlmühle, which has now been converted into a stop, was opened for freight traffic. Before that, Kohlmühle had been greatly expanded to meet the increased traffic needs , including a wooden reloading hall , a locomotive and a coal shed were built for the narrow-gauge railway .

On May 1, 1905, the stop was upgraded to the station. On May 15, 1936, the station name was changed to Goßdorf-Kohlmühle .

With the closure of the narrow-gauge railway on May 27, 1951, the station lost a lot of its importance. Public goods transport was no longer carried out, only the connecting railway to the linoleum plant and two smaller connections were served. Due to the decline in traffic, Goßdorf-Kohlmühle was finally downgraded to a stop on September 27, 1965, and downgraded to a stop on March 12, 1975.

In 1976 the locomotive shed was demolished, and in 1983 the coal shed on the narrow-gauge railway was demolished.

The station building, which was no longer used for rail operations, was transferred to Schwarzbachbahn e. V., who uses it as the club's headquarters. In 2016, the museum's renovation of the building inside and outside was completed. The association also rebuilt a piece of track on the narrow-gauge side.

The station has been served by the U28 line ( Rumburk - Sebnitz - Bad Schandau - Děčín hl. N. ) Since June 2014 .
