Guindy Train Station (2006)

The Guindy railway station ( Tamil : கிண்டி ) is a railway station in the Indian city of Chennai . It is a hub of the Chennaier suburban railway and the Chennai Metro . It is located in the Guindy district in southern Chennai on the Anna Salai (Mount Road) arterial road .

Guindy station is served by the southern line of the Chennaier suburban railway ( Chennai Beach - Chengalpattu ). Long-distance trains going south from Chennai pass the station without stopping.

Metro station

Guindy Metro Station is served by the Chennai Metro's Blue Line . It is designed as a high station. The Guindy station opened on September 21, 2016 as part of the first section of the Blue Line.
