The Jasienica Station is a place of business on the railway line Szczecin - Trzebież Szczeciński . It is located in the Jasienica district of the same name in the West Pomeranian city of Police in Poland .

location

Jasienica is one of four locations in Police. It is located at the level crossing at ul. Piotra i Pawła and the bridge over the Gunica River. The station building was used as a residential building after it was closed.

history

The Royal Railway Directorate in Berlin pushed the project of a railway connection from Stettin to Jasenitz from 1890. The branch line was primarily intended to ensure a year-round connection between the neighboring towns, since until then they had primarily handled their freight traffic via the Oder . After two years of construction, the Pölitz - Jasenitz section was the last to be opened to all traffic on October 15, 1898. On March 15, 1910, the extension from Jasenitz to Groß Ziegenort went into operation. The construction had been preceded by high compensation payments to some landowners in Jasenitz, as they initially refused to give the management permission to build.

After the Second World War, Jasenitz was initially under Soviet, from September 1946 then under Polish administration. The train traffic stopped during the time. At this time the station was given the Polish name Jasienica . In the mid-1960s, PKP expanded the line to Jasienica to two tracks , followed by electrification with 3 kV DC voltage in 1982 . In connection with the double-track expansion, the station was given a new central platform south of the previous facility .

In the 1990s, the PKP initially thinned the timetable; from May 2000, only three pairs of trains were planned between Police and Trzebież Szczeciński. The timetable of January 6, 2002 announced that the journeys between Police and Trzebież Szczeciński were canceled, and on October 1, 2002, passenger traffic on the route was officially ceased. The second track was dismantled after the setting. The station building was converted into an apartment.
