Jordan Hill is a station of the Argyle Line and the North Clyde Line in the district of Jordan Hill in Glasgow ( Scotland ). Due to the connection to both parallel lines, it is one of the few train stations that has direct connections to both Glasgow main train stations, Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street .

The station opened on August 1, 1887 as the starting point of the Glasgow, Yoker and Clydebank Railway . The station is located near the Jordanhill campus of Strathclyde University , not far from the banks of the Clyde .

As part of the Argyle line, the station is used in particular by commuters who travel to and from the center of Glasgow (Glasgow Central). Previous station on the line is Hyndland and next station is Scotstounhill . The station is operated by the Abellio ScotRail railway company.

On April 28, 1980, a serious accident occurred at the train station. A train with 80 passengers en route from Dalmuir to Motherwell derailed at a railway junction shortly after exiting the station. The first of the three cars jumped off the rails and 15 people were injured.
