The Lustenau Station is the only station in the Vorarlberg market town of Lustenau in Dornbirn . It is served by trains of the Vorarlberg S-Bahn .
History and remodeling
The Lustenau Markt stop also existed in Lustenau until June 2011 . However, this was abandoned due to bridge construction. A reactivation of this stop is not planned.
From April 2018 the Lustenau train station was renovated. The aim of this work was to build new parking spaces and equip the station in the current corporate design of ÖBB.
The Bregenz - St. Margrethen railway line was continuously expanded to double-track from the end of 2017. The upgrading of the entire section between Lustenau and Bregenz / Lauterach should be completed by 2020.

Bus transport
The station is served by numerous Landbus Unterland buses. There are connections every 30 or 60 minutes in the direction of Dornbirn, Götzis, Bregenz and Gaißau as well as to numerous other communities.
Local rail transport
Lustenau station is served every half hour by trains on the S3 line in the direction of Bregenz and St. Margrethen. Due to the single track, you always have to wait for the return train in Lustenau. When the Eurocity runs, the S3 increases to 60 minutes.
