Landbus Unterland
The Landbus Unterland is part of the Vorarlberg Landbus system. The Landbus Unterland is organized on the basis of a community association, which is composed of the communities of the lower Rhine valley and the Leiblach valley . Some “hillside communities” such as Bildstein have also joined the association.
The Landbus-Unterland-System went into operation in 1999.
Participating municipalities
The buses run in 17 communities in the Bregenz district , in three communities in the Dornbirn district and four communities in the Feldkirch district . Cross-border lines to Lindau (D), Scheidegg (D), Niederstaufen (D) and Heerbrugg (CH) are also offered.
Vehicle fleet
The transport services are mainly provided by the Postbus , the Rheintal Busverkehr and various small businesses. All vehicles have a uniform design and are labeled "Landbus Unterland". In 1999, numerous MAN NL 263s were jointly procured (none of which are in service today). In addition, five MAN Lion's City G (lines: 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 50, 52), 25 Mercedes-Benz Citaro solo buses (lines 10, 11, 13 , 13a, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 50, 52, 53) (23 will be retired in 2020 and replaced by MAN Lion's city 12C), 2 Mercedes-Benz Citaro C2 solo buses (lines: 11 , 13, 16, 22, 23, 53), 7 Mercedes-Benz Citaro articulated buses (lines: 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 50, 52), 12 Mercedes-Benz Citaro C2 Articulated buses (lines: 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 50, 52) (2 of which have changed to the Dornbirn city bus ), 4 Mercedes-Benz Citaro C2 Capacity articulated buses (lines: 10, 15 17, 19, 20, 21, 50, 52), 17 Solaris Alpino 8.9 (lines 10b, 16a, 18, 19b, 22a, 22g, 23a, 47, 51a, 52a, 54, 55, 55a, 55b), one Solaris Urbino 10 (lines: 11, 16, 23, 51a, 53, 54), two Solaris Urbino 12 (lines 10, 11, 13, 13a, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 50, 52, 53), three Solaris Urbino 18 (lines: 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 50, 52) and d eleven Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (lines: 10b, 12, 12a, 12c, 12d, 14a, 16a, 18, 19b, 22a, 22g, 23a, 24, 45, 47, 51a, 52a, 54, 55, 55a, 55b ).
Line network
The Landbus Unterland is integrated into the route network of the Vorarlberg transport association and is designated with route numbers from 10 to 24 and 45 to 55w.
