The Massy TGV station is a station for the high-speed trains of the SNCF south of Paris , in the immediate vicinity of the RER station Massy-Palaiseau , on the border between the communes of Massy and Palaiseau , about eight kilometers west of Paris-Orly airport .
Massy-TGV is approached by trains that bypass the terminal stations of Paris on their way, e.g. B. on connections from Strasbourg to Bordeaux , Rennes or Nantes .
The station is used by around one million passengers a year. It has two through tracks without a platform and two outside platforms. All tracks run underground and pass under the ground floor station hall.
Due to the immediate vicinity of the Massy-Palaiseau station served by the RER lines B and C, the Massy TGV station serves the entire catchment area of these RER lines without passengers in Paris having to change to a metro to Montparnasse station.
