The Nîmes railway station is the largest station of the SNCF in the French city of Nimes . The station is used by around 8,000 passengers every day. It has four tracks on two platforms. The station was opened in 1843. The station has a connection to the TGV network. Regional connections and Intercités run to cities such as B. Avignon , Narbonne , Marseille , Clermont-Ferrand and Perpignan . There are also TGV connections to Paris , Montpellier , Dijon , Barcelona and Madrid .
